About us

The Loop Run is organized by the Stowarzyszenie Rajd Beskidy, founded by Jerzy Lekki—an amateur athlete specializing in ultra running, MTB marathons, and orienteering. For many years, he has competed in endurance events both in Poland and abroad, blending his firsthand experience as a competitor with his role as an outdoor event organizer. The projects realized by the Rajd Beskidy were born directly out of this passion for the mountains, long-distance exertion, and adventure.

The organization’s history began in 2021 with the inaugural edition of Rajd Beskidy—a multidisciplinary, navigation-based adventure race. Within a few years, the event grew into a recognizable brand across the European adventure racing community.

Since 2023, Rajd Beskidy has been part of the Adventure Racing World Series (ARWS). We organize both the Rajd Beskidy Long Course, a qualifying race for the Adventure Racing World Championship (ARWC), and the Rajd Beskidy Short Course, which is part of the ARWS Europe Series.

Our events take place primarily in southern Poland, with select stages crossing into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Beyond adventure races, we also organize orienteering runs, urban events, and other initiatives promoting active tourism.

We collaborate closely with local governments—including the City of Bielsko-Biała and regional municipalities—as well as numerous local partners. We focus on collaborative project co-creation, ensuring our events remain deeply rooted in the communities through which the routes pass.

Our greatest strength is our people: co-workers, volunteers, athletes, and media team. Their commitment and experience enable us to deliver high-level organization while maintaining an authentic, grassroots sporting character.

We place the highest priority on participant safety, working alongside GOPR mountain rescuers, professional medical cover, and safety services along the routes. Environmental stewardship is equally crucial to us; therefore, our events are developed in close cooperation with the Regional Directorates for Environmental Protection, the State Forests, and national parks.

We leverage the experience gained from organizing international competitions to create The Loop Run—an event that combines sport, adventure, and the unique mountain landscapes of the Beskids.
